Cyberpunk 2077

Just wondering what 2020ish or later cyberpunk books/authors you've read and would recommend. Every list I find is either the same handful of admittedly quintessential 1970/80s stuff (Gibson, Stephenson, Dick, etc), mega compilations that aren't deliniated by year/quality (and haven't been updated in years), or wildly irrelevant bot slop.

I saw it's 60% off on steam rn and was thinking about pulling the trigger finally lol

What are y'all running for mods these days?

Ok this one blew me away, its another little no parkour required area and this time with multiple fairly obvious yet inconspicuous entrances, beyond being pretty this one has some pretty strong cut-gig vibes.

So I stumbled upon another cool little spot that's totally easy to overlook despite all of us having certainly passed it dozens of time. its another great example of verticality with a little village of shops and homes tucked into the shadowy spaces between buildings, it even has a little scene with a lore shard if you explore all the way to the bottom.

So I am playing with the Hardcore 22 V2 mod which makes enemies a lot more deadly but removes the egregious spongyness of very hard mode in exchange.

Did they change the Cyberpunk logo in new versions?

During a mission a couple days ago I checked my weapons to get into a bar/club and forgot to pick them up on my way out. I forgot the name of the club and the name of the mission.

Continuing my recent playthrough of deliberately letting myself get distracted by every vaguely interesting piece of scenery here are 4 interesting spots around night city that never come up in scripted gigs.

I got the game soon after launch and started a sneaky hacker. Didn't get very far before shelving the game until it was in a better place in terms of polish. Then I recently decided to give the game another chance and pick up where I left with the sneaky hacking. The character seems no longer viable now since my previous approach seems to be limited to however long it takes for the inevitable and unstoppable tracing to finish. Then the game gently pushes my nose into combat and rubs my face in the fact that I have not specced for that.

So for a lot of people Patch 2.13 has been a great performance boost; though I personally have a 40 series GPU and intend to keep using DLSS since it looks better (FSR 3.1 when CDPR?) FSR does actually gain me significantly more frames at the cost of some visuals.

Unsure of what settings to adjust to fix it. It's bothering my eyes pretty bad. Also, people on screens in game are moving in slow motion, but that's not an issue for my eyes. Got the Steamdeck 2 days ago, so it's brand new.

Playing for the first time and I chose the corpo and loving the style so much when walking in the city center. I am not talking about the more military stuff like Arasaka guards, but rather the kind of outfit sported by Meredith Stout and the Peralez.

I'm not judging, I'm genuinely curious. The reason why I'm asking is because in this sort of games I like to make the character resemble me as much as possible in every aspect, so I'm just curious to know what is the motivation behind men that decide to play as a female character.

What's the lore here? Erebus and Canto basically trap the souls of the dead they kill and banish the "soulkilled" to beyond the black wall right? How are these rogue AIs using "dark energy"?
